Nitrogen in less likely to escape through the rubber, which means more stable tire pressure. Nitrogen also doesn’t support moisture or combustion as opposed to traditional compressed air having some moisture in it from time to time. The real downside to nitrogen is the cost. Nitrogen can cost between $5 and $10 per tire to fill.
