Honda experienced mixed results in their sales this past month, both with their car and light truck models. The Acura division was generally responsible for the overall – albeit small – rise in sales; Honda’s slight gain was mainly due to the continued success of their three core models. This past week, Honda also announced plant changes in order to focus on increased production of light trucks, including the Acura MDX.
- Honda sales have been struggling, and are down so far for the year
- Some Honda vehicles do much better than others
- Honda is taking measures to address it’s light truck capacity issues
“A mix of car and light-truck sales and an assist from its Acura division helped American Honda eke out a narrow sales gain in May, rising 0.9 percent for the month to 148,414 vehicles.”
